Bench Power Supply
thingiverse
I converted a 450w no name brand ATX PSU into a Bench PSU unit for projects. It's now a standard setup with fixed outputs for 12v, 5.5v, and 3.3v. This is version one of the bench PSU. I'm saving up to buy a DPS5015 unit, which will allow me to have variable voltages. Once I get it, I'll redesign the front panel or find a way to hack it to output variable voltages. Here's how I wired it: * 12v: Yellow and Black * 5.5v: Red and Black * 3.3v: Orange and Black I connected the green and black cables together permanently, so the mains switch is the only on/off switch. The CPU power output isn't the best for this configuration, as I noticed when testing with a 2A load. The voltage drops from 12.0v to 11.7v. All DC jacks and banana plugs are connected in parallel to their respective outputs. The displays show current draw inline from the PSU to all outputs. I'm still waiting for fuse holders from Aliexpress.
