Bench Grinder Tool Rest - With Angle Marks
thingiverse
This is an updated version of Andrei Cotiga's tool rest for a bench grinder, originally designed by @acotiga and available on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2614656). I made it crucial to identify the precise angle in the x-axis at which the tool was being ground. To achieve this, I added lines and text indicators. The three central lines are perfectly perpendicular to the grinder wheel, assuming a precise installation. Graduations for 30 degrees and 60 degrees are included, which are commonly required for grinding lathe and milling tools used in thread cutting and other operations. I have all these files available in Fusion 360 format if anyone is interested or needs help converting mesh files into solids. Be sure to check out @acotiga's angle setter for the tool rest as well. Although I haven't tried it myself, any tool that simplifies achieving the right angle is definitely worth exploring (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2614652). Thanks again to @acotiga for creating the original designs. Good luck with your projects!
