Bench Alignment Bracket
thingiverse
In Model Railroading its common to need to align two benches so that the trackwork stays in alignment after rework, maintenance, etc. These brackets allow two separate bench frames to reallign with minimal effort with both X and Y alignment. Each side simply bolts to one frame. By design it would be suggested to fasten one side on with the mounting screws but use temporary glue to hold the second one in place while aligning the benches. Once aligned and then the glue dries simply separate the benches and then fix the second bracket in place with screws. The mounts are made to be fairly structural so that normal bumps and alignments should not break off the protruding edges. Edges are chamfered to allow the two benches to "self align" within reasonable tollerances as they are pushed together. No special printing is needed as there are no supports and notice both sides are identical and can be mixed and matched.
