Each brother takes turns punching the Punchball with a simple cam system driving the right arm into action, featuring a wire attached to the forearm that moves it straight to the target. The timing of their punches is controlled by a swivel plate mounted in the center of the camshaft, ensuring precise coordination between the two brothers. Construction of this model is straightforward and guided by the drawings provided here, making it easy to follow along. To slow down the motions and make them more manageable, the motion is geared down three to one, which proved necessary as the initial design seemed a bit too fast-paced when driven directly.
