Bemis "Easy Clean & Replace" toilet seats boast hinges with snap-on twist-clips that securely attach to anchoring bolts featuring uniquely shaped heads. According to product packaging, this toilet seat fits all manufacturers' toilets. However, it turns out that the included fasteners won't work with Kohler one-piece ceramic toilets due to its distinctive design which prevents the use of specially shaped anchoring bolts. There's also a possibility that Toto toilets may have similar issues, but this remains unverified. To solve the problem, I could have purchased an "HK36 Hardware Kit" online for $5 + $9 shipping; but then I'd have to wait for the parts to arrive. Instead, out come the calipers and CAD software - and the issue is resolved! You can print these custom fasteners using a few cents' worth of plastic and have them in just a couple of hours. Plus, you get to justify buying that 3D printer even more to your spouse. It's a win-win situation. Resolution: 0.1 mm Infill: 100% Notes: Print in pairs using ABS, Nylon, or PETG at 100% infill and 0.1 mm layer thickness for the best results.
