Belt tensioner Fusion 360 parametric base
thingiverse
This is a parametric fusion 360 to easily create custom belt tensioners. Complete assembly images for illustration purpose, show how a full assembly work. You'll still have to build the fixed base yourself so you need to know how to use fusion to use this thing. Needs brass inserts (though file can easily be modified to use a nylon-locknut. Basically : modify the parameters to suit your needs, and use the method you prefer to build the base. Project / offset for sliding tolerance / extrude directly in the design from the moving part or copy/paste sketches and offset for sliding tolerance. Would be nice to perfect it so it takes an "available screw lengths" parameter to finally adjust to a perfect length. But fusion360 "in-parameters" functions are too much limited, or i didn't find the right way to do it ! Available Fusion360 parameters : - tensioning travel distance - thin walls minimal thickness - inner cage width - pulley radius, height, shaft diameter - clearance behind pulley - pulley vertical shaft clearance - shaft walls thickness - retaining slope offset - brass insert diameter, depth, safe distance, retain thickness - minimal contact length - chamfers and fillets radiuses
