Belt Tensioner for Tornado
thingiverse
Remix of fessyFOO's Belt Tensioner for Tevo Tornado X and Y-axis (20x40 profile) These parts are designed to be used in conjunction with the original pulleys. The X-axis pulley consists of two parts, with an inner diameter of 8mm and an overall width of 10mm. By inserting a spacer, you can create a pulley suitable for 5mm axis use. To achieve this, I utilized Ikea "cabinet joiner" components with a 5mm outer diameter and a length of approximately 24mm. These were then shortened to 20mm to serve as the axis. The puller was designed accordingly: 5(mm)a(xis)8(mm)b(earing)10(mm)h(ead) The X-axis Tensioner Case offsets the pulley by 3mm, allowing for better belt alignment. The Y-axis pulley is also a two-part design, featuring an inner diameter of 4mm and an overall width of 10mm. I employed 4mm brass rod and M2.5 screws with large heads to construct this component. The puller was designed accordingly: 4(mm)a(xis)4(mm)b(earing)7(mm)h(ead) The Y-axis Tensioner Case offsets the pulley by 6mm, resulting in improved belt alignment. The nuts used for tensioning are nearly identical to the originals, with only minor adjustments made at 97%, 98%, and 99% of their original design.
