belt tensioner for rostock max
thingiverse
To solve the issue of timing belts rubbing against idler bearings and causing wear, one must ensure a level bearing while tightening screws and applying upward pressure. However, this task can be challenging. As an alternative solution, 12 tensioner brackets and three spacers were printed in ABS infill at 33% strength. To install, 6-32 phillips head screws replaced the original socket head ones for better length, while 3/4 inch 6-32 screws held the brackets together using extra washers and lock nuts provided with the rostock max kit. Note that larger holes above idler bearings may require different sizing of brackets.
