Belt tensioner for Prusa I3 X axis
thingiverse
This belt tensioner slips neatly into the open side of the right portion of the X gantry of the Prusa I3 reworked set. Despite being refined, it is already fully operational. Supplemental components include 1 x M4 nut and 1 x M4 screw measuring 30-40 mm. The belt smoothly glides over the curved segment of the belt tensioner. Construction material used is PLA, allowing the belt to slide effortlessly without excessive force required. Future redesigns are planned to further enhance performance and incorporate IGUS special filament with incredibly low friction for a revised version. Please consult: http://3dptb.blogspot.com/2015/01/riemenspanner-fur-prusa-i3-x-achse.html Used PLA as the material of choice, noting its potentially superior performance compared to ABS due to PLA's higher friction rating. Printer settings were set for Fine parts with 100% infill. Although 10% infill would also yield suitable results, it was deemed unnecessary due to the small size of the components in question.
