Belt tensioner for Lulzbot TAZ
thingiverse
I am building an oversized Lulzbot TAZ printer and was struggling with getting the belts tight using the stock setup so I came up with a solution. It works by twisting the lever, which causes the belt to wrap around, taking up the slack in the process. Then, simply tighten the M5 screw and it's done. Edit: 4/13/2016 I added a mounting bracket for the Y carriage, using the same parts as the X carriage, except for one part. The files x_belt_tension-3.stl and x_belt_tension-2.stl can be used to print this piece. Print Settings: Printer: ORD Bot Hadron Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 50% Notes: If you print the carriage plate, there are three circular cavities inside that you can use to place some magnets to hold your hotend in place and allow for easy tool head swapping in the future. Additionally, the plugs on top of the printer are standard ATX mini-fit Jr connectors for quick hotend disconnection.
