Belt Tensioner for Laser Engraver Upon the arrival of the new laser from NEJE Master 2S, there was nothing special and was not planned to be done with it. Assembly in the literal sense and for a child is not a task: fasten 4 nuts, plug in a couple of connectors and working. In reality, the machine is ready to work as they say "out of the box". And if you don't believe me, you can watch the assembly video: But I wouldn’t be myself if I didn’t see the potential to be even better in him :) In general, it all started with a small knot - the X-axis belt tensioner ... And then it started, .. then I thought it would be nice for him and install a standalone controller, and a native one, although the 32-bit controller needs to be replaced with another one so that silent drivers are installed, as I have already done on other machines, but more on that another time, since it is not yet ready. And today about the tensioner ... After all, it is suitable for any 20x20 machine profile in machine designs where the belt passes through the profile grooves. At first, I made the tensioner body a solid part, but then I remembered how I assembled the body for the cyclone and decided to make it in the form of a reamer. This construction method is extremely easy to print and very easy to assemble. No supports, no overhangs, high tensile strength on all edges, .. in general, I was satisfied :) And the outer sides are obtained as after a thermoplastic machine. The body is made in three versions for assembling the laser on the left side of the head and on the right, but also without a stopping protrusion for other designs. Therefore, choose your option that you need, if you still need it :) As a pulley, I used my printed version, I have tested such pulleys for a long time and have proven themselves excellent, but if you cannot print quality, a pair of F623ZZ will do. More details - watch the video: In conclusion of today's publication, I want to add the following: if you like such a laser, you can assemble it yourself, because I will soon publish the entire machine in detail. Everything can be printed, you can buy it in addition ... But this is not the first machine I am assembling and I can note that self-assembly does not give much savings, it is much easier to buy a ready-made one and if you really want to modify it then. And as usual I add, since we are talking about lasers, the best software for this is LightBurn ! And after finishing work on another TWO TREES TOTEM S machine I will be giving away two free licenses of this wonderful program. And this is not much more than 250 bucks in savings! Then I will publish the conditions for participation. So stay tuned ...
