Belt tensioner
thingiverse
I designed this modification after being disappointed with the stock part, particularly its inability to tighten the belt without pulling on it - a task that had me searching for solutions online, only to come up empty-handed. So I decided to take matters into my own hands and created something new, making it the first thing I ever printed. The parts shown in these images have 0.010 inches of clearance between them, which proved to be a bit sloppy, so I reduced the "tight" version down to 0.005 inch tolerance for a more precise fit. The larger version is still running on my machine, but I've never had a chance to print the tighter one. All the holes are designed to accommodate M5 bolts.
