The Simple Tension Tester allows for precise tension measurement on belts running parallel to 2020 extrusion. To set it up, simply bolt the two arms together and attach a spring between one of them and the belt clip. A rubber band wrapped around the ends of the arms should keep them securely in place around the extrusion. Next, adjust the tension of the first belt to your desired level and measure the length of the spring. This spring length should correspond roughly to similar tension on adjacent or nearby belts with similar routing.
