Belt Sander Vacuum Hose Adapter

This is for a basic Chicago Electric brand belt sander, available at an affordable price point. It comes with a cloth bag to capture dust particles, which is useful for containing mess. On the first day of use, the zipper on the bag failed to open properly. A new zipper was sewn in place to resolve this issue. Despite this repair, another problem persists: when turned on, it releases a cloud of fine dust into the air, posing an unhealthy concern for lung health. To address this issue, I needed to devise a solution to connect the sander to my shop vac hose. I came up with this adapter, which fits small vacuum hoses from compact shop vacs as well as regular household vacuum cleaners like Electrolux, Hoover, Rainbow, Kirby, or similar budget-friendly models. However, it requires an additional adapter to transition from a small hose to the standard size found on larger shop vacs such as the Home Depot Ridgid 6.0hp full-size model. This kit showcases the necessary adapters for a successful connection.
