I've created a custom pulley system for my 3D printer's belt drive. The pulley itself was cut from an old hard disk drive. This three-piece setup worked perfectly - it reduced noise and kept the print head stable. If you're working with a similar setup, I recommend repurposing an old disc drive's hub as your gearwheel guide, giving you smooth prints every time.
