Belt/Pocket sheath for Original Leatherman Multitool (0796)
thingiverse
My Aunt and Uncle gifted me an Original Leatherman Multi-tool (0796), which I took on a camping trip last weekend. However, it lacked a case for protection in my pocket. Creatively, I decided to make a case with a 3D printer! The case snugly holds the knife and remains secure. After a rigorous weekend of use, it's still holding up well. To create the case, I printed it on a Replicator 2 using medium resolution, 100% fill, raft, and support due to the belt clip's overhang. The pocket version had a shallow clip for my belt, but the belt version is identical with a further-out clip (adjustable if needed). I initially included a small notch on the bottom of the holder, but later found it unnecessary as the tool's beveled front works fine for lifting it out. The case fits the Leatherman well, following the rivet placement. If you prefer a different orientation, this may not be the right holder for you. And remember, if you're part of the International Quick Draw Leatherman Organization (IQDLO), let me know! To identify your Leatherman model, look inside the tool's handle on the knife side.
