A belt plate in the shape of an oval, sub-rectangular frame boasts a striking image of a lynx and an argali. At its center, a stylized tree takes pride of place, with branches that showcase a lynx poised for takeoff - the animal's ears adorned with distinctive tufts characteristic of this formidable feline predator. The plate serves as an integral component of clothing. Discovered within a female burial site, the deceased woman is estimated to have been approximately 50 years old at the time of her passing. Situated beneath the left forearm and positioned closer to the hand, face down, the plate was discovered attached to a wooden base that has since disintegrated. Material: Bronze. Dimensions: 104.87 x 69.33 x 2.9 mm. Originating from Transbaikalia, this artifact is attributed to the Xiongnu archaeological culture and was unearthed within the Dyrestuyskiy cemetery. Currently housed at The Museum of Buryat History, the inventory number assigned to this relic is 18148/7. For further information, visit: http://mobileart.artemiris.org/find/view/60
