Belt loop

Belt loop

thingiverse

This is a basic belt loop, designed to remain securely fastened on the buckle end of a belt, safeguarding the tongue from coming loose. I suspect the original model came detached and fell off during airport security screening in Seattle. I haven't yet had the opportunity to test its durability, although I'm optimistic about its prospects due to the filament wrapping around the loop. Manufactured at 1mm thick with a nozzle diameter of 0.4mm, Simplify3D used three loops to create this design. The middle one might have been slightly undersized; in hindsight, it's possible that using 1.2mm thick material would have yielded better results. Update 8 September 2018: The first prototype (made from PLA) ultimately gave way after approximately 10 months of almost daily usage.
