Belt joint
thingiverse
The fan's plastic belt broke free, leaving it dangling precariously. This was exactly what I needed to fix it.\r\nI grabbed a 25-35 mm M3 screw and nut, and joined two together seamlessly. Next, I applied a strong adhesive to the "belt" itself, securing it firmly in place.\r\n\r\nFor those who need or want to modify this design, I've included a FreeCAD file for your reference.\r\n\r\nTo ensure maximum strength, printing with 100% infill may be necessary. This will provide a sturdy foundation for the entire piece.\r\n\r\n****Edit: \r\nI've added version two of the FreeCad file to the mix, and it's now easier than ever to adjust the length of the "Pad" simply by double-clicking on it in the Combo tree-view. Anything longer than 25 mm seems to work perfectly now.
