Belt Holder for the printing bed (Y axis) of a PRUSA I3
thingiverse
This is a Belt Holder for the Y axis of the Sunhokey PRUSA I3. I swapped out the original printing bed (which was too soft because made from acrylic on the Sunhokey's kit, and leading to permanent needs of bed leveling) with a MK2 aircraft aluminum bed (very rigid). With the new printing bed, there is the need to drill the holes in proper place for the linear ball bearings (taking their position from the old acrylic printing bed), and also there is a need for a new belt holder. This auto locking system of the belt is based on the Belt Clip I recently published. It does not take any tool to install the belt, because the belt is natively maintained in a "self-locking" position by this Belt Holder. Just insert the belt inside the groove and it's done! The SKETCHUP file is attached in case of need for adaptation. This Belt Holder has been created as a quite universal one for this kind of printers, so the base is larger than needed in case other holes reveal to be necessary for some other printer. Hence, it should fit with any other printing beds of the same category of printers. For a better quality of the printing of this device, it is made up of 2 parts that just need to be assembled using an M3 bolt and nut.
