3D model of real project of my hommemade belt grinder. It was designed mostly from metal plasma cutted parts. Like engine was used a 1,5kW and 2880rev/min 380V 3 phase electric motor. During design I tried to use most parts I found in our household like electric motor, power switch, ball bearings... I chose this "one leg" design, because of variable positioning of the machine. Rotational part were made on my small chinese lathe , which I bought for modelbuilder and household maintenance purposes. Last thing I made on it was the dust collector which helped to keep the order around the machine and deprive of the dust everywhere in the workshop.
