As I shifted from a 3mm hot end to a 1.75mm hot end, I resolved to build a belt drive version at the same time after observing http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:339928. I opted for MR128 bearings, given their outer diameter of only 12mm as opposed to 22mm (their inner diameter remained unchanged at 8mm) to minimize size and weight. In October, problems with jamming began, so I inserted a filament guide between the hobbed bolt and the extruder hole to eliminate bending upon entry; this modification necessitates filing to achieve a snug fit. Later that month, a 30mm fan mount for filament cooling was integrated. Included components comprise the Drag Chain mount, derived from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:193948, as well as offset links for navigation around the Z Screws. Key parts include Standard 20-tooth GT2 Pulley, MR128 Bearings (12x8x3.5), Belt Pitch 228-2GT, and an idler secured to a 4mm screw with dimensions of approximately 8mm in diameter, obtained from a Hard Drive head bearing. All known issues have been corrected, the corrected pulley is uploaded, and enhanced designs feature new Fan mount as well as modified Hot end mount.
