Belt Drive Assembly

Belt Drive Assembly

In manual motorbikes, there is a known gear set which functions to continue the engine rotation from the transmission counter shaft to the rear wheels via a gear or sprocket, so that the rear wheels rotate and drive the vehicle's speed. However, on an automatic motorcycle, the transfer of this rotation is carried out by the drive belt. The drive belt functions to continue the engine power to drive the rear wheels through the pulley and belt. If the drive belt breaks, of course the automatic motorbike will not be able to run because there is nothing to transfer engine power to the wheels.
