Working on construction sites, home renovation projects, or even coaching sports teams can be a challenge for people who commonly bring water bottles, thermoses, and any other beverage to worksites. Cups placed on the ground can be easily knocked over or forgotten during a busy day, not to mention the added risk of foreign contaminants enterring a drink. Furthermore, many tasks require full attention, so simply holding one’s drink can be annoying and obtrusive. For too long, no product has been designed to solve a decades old problem. With this new cup holder design, DIYers, construction workers, and coaches alike can all retain the freedom of two hands while still being able to enjoy a drink. The clip ensures that your drink will stay secure with easy access attached to your belt. Additionally, a folding mechanism makes sure that the cup holder can be stored in a pocket when not in use. The cupholding ring is slanted inwards, providing extra security and making sure cups can fit into the cupholder without sliding through completely. The implentation of 3D printing to manufacture this design has drawbacks such as time and material cost, but through 3D printing with plastics the belt clip is sturdy but has a desired amount of flexibility.
