These functional side release buckles look and function exactly like common models, but they're designed specifically with 3D printing (without supports) in mind. The original Nexus fast release design features a number of edges that require support, which adds extra work for the 3D printer. For any 3D projects needing a belt, four different sizes are included: half inch, five-eighth inch, three-quarter inch, and one inch. The female part has additional loops to provide a more permanent lock on the belt material, while the male end is quickly adjustable. These buckles work well with nylon or elastic webbing. After making significant changes to the design multiple times, this is version 12. I'd love any comments you have about how to make it even better. The files are not simply scaled versions of each other, as belt thickness has been taken into account when creating them. I tested these buckles on a $200 makibox printer using ABS at .3 and .4 millimeter settings, which is why the photo might appear a little rough. To get good results, it's essential to use good bed adhesion or set up a small raft in your software settings.
