Belt & Bolt-on Landing Net Holder

Belt & Bolt-on Landing Net Holder

The eye on the back of my fly vest was a real challenge for me to hook, especially with arthritis making it harder. So I came up with this stronger and easier-to-locate replacement that clamps securely to the fabric of the vest or jacket. I also designed it so you can easily slide or clamp it onto a belt or strap. Plus, I created another one that fits in a cupboard for storing nets. This thing has got more uses than I've listed, so if you've used it for something other than fishing, let me know! Here are the parts you'll need: * 5mm x 25mm Dowel Pins (slightly chamfered on ends) - made of 304 Stainless Steel, available on eBay * 4x M3 Countersink machine screws and nylock nuts (length to suit your needs) - also available on eBay Printing options: I printed this in PETG at a layer height of 0.2mm with 100% infill. To make the print process smoother, I set my printer to do a filament change one layer before the support across the hole for the pin. Then, I simply paced the pin and continued printing. The only support needed is under the 4x holes in the main front STL. Fitting it to fabric: I used a Scratch Awl or Bradawl (a pointed metal bar) to separate the fabric weave before bolting them together. If you need any changes or additions, just let me know - I'm always happy to help out when I can. Please comment, like, and share! Happy printing! Check out my other items!
