Belt and Project Buckles

Belt and Project Buckles

These side release buckles function similarly to standard ones but are specifically tailored for 3D printing without supports. The original Nexus fast release design has multiple edges that necessitate support, thereby increasing the workload for the 3D printer. These buckles are ideal for any 3D project requiring a belt. Four sizes are included: half-inch, five-eighths inch, three-quarters inch, and one inch. The female end features additional loops for a more secure lock on the belt material, whereas the male end is easily adjustable. They work well with nylon or elastic webbing. I refined this design numerous times to reach version 12. If you notice any areas that could be improved, your feedback is greatly appreciated. Each file has been tailored to account for different belt thicknesses, so they are not scaled versions of one another. Each pair can be printed as laid out in the STL file with the female piece printing on edge. Good bed adhesion is essential, or use a small raft in your software settings. I successfully printed them on a $200 Makibox printer using ABS at 0.3 and 0.4 millimeter resolutions.
