I've taken tslove28's M2 to M3 conversion and given it a fresh spin, tweaking only the belt anchor slightly. After the conversion, my extruder now sits about 10-15 mm offset to the left side, which means any custom GCode that moves the extruder off the right side of the bed to get filament flowing before starting the print will now dump filament directly on the bed unless adjusted accordingly. The issue I faced was that I use the same profile for multiple M2 printers and didn't want to remember to use a special one for my modified printer. The solution was simple: I added a small protrusion on the left side, which causes it to engage the X-axis endstop sooner when homing. This tweak worked out great, as now the position of my upgraded M2's nozzle is identical to that of my unmodified printers. To make things even easier, I also enlarged the tops of the holes so threading the screws becomes a breeze.
