What You Need to Know About Scanning Your Face with Bellus3D's Face Mask Fitter To start, you'll need an iPhone with a TrueDepth camera - that means an iPhone X, XS, XS Max, XR, 11, 11 Pro, or 11 Pro Max. If you're using an iPad Pro, you can scan your face with Bellus3D Dental Pro instead. 1. Download Bellus3D FaceApp or Dental Pro from the Apple App Store * You can find them here: FaceApp: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/bellus3d-faceapp/id1352268131 Dental Pro: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/bellus3d-dental-pro/id1449506214 2. Stand or sit in a stationary place so you can turn your head 90° to the left and right when it's time to scan. Take off any glasses or items that might be covering your face. 3. Open up the FaceApp app and select the FACE option. 4. Position your phone directly in front of your face, making sure the red oval turns green. When it does, tap the white button at the bottom of the screen to start the scan. Keep a neutral expression for as long as you need to during the scan - don't smile! 5. The app will tell you to turn 90° to the left, then back to the middle, 90° to the right, and finally back to the middle. 6. Once the capture is complete, FaceApp will stitch together all the different views to create a 3D model of your face. You can press the "Mask Fitter" button in the bottom right corner to generate the fitter model. 7. After about 10 seconds, you'll see the Mask Fitter frame displayed on the 3D image of your face.
