Belle Lithophane Pendant

My daughter wore her Little Mermaid Lithophane Pendant to school one day, and as soon as she came home, she asked if I could make a pendant for other princesses too. When I told her I could, she pulled out a handwritten list of all the girls in her class along with the princesses and colors each girl wanted for their pendants. It was quite a sight to see. So now I've made one for Cinderella and Belle. You can see the original picture next to the black and white version where I combined them and added some drawings to help define the model better. My camera phone just doesn't do it justice; it looks much clearer than that. I used MakeALot's lithophane generator to create the lithophane: http://3dp.rocks/lithophane/. Then I imported it into Tinkercad to cut out the circle, put a round rim on it, and add a loop for hanging. I also made some custom support to help keep it upright while printing. Here are my instructions: First, find a plastic that's mostly opaque – you won't get a good definition if you use transparent plastic. However, using plastic with too much opacity requires more light to see the picture clearly. For instance, take a look at my test model I printed in white; it has a pink interior and light blue that shows transparency, making for an interesting design. When printing a lithophane vertically, make sure you use less perimeters and no zig-zag infill to prevent it from tipping over or moving while it's being printed. I printed mine on the slow speed of about 40mm/sec at .15mm layer height, set my slicer to eight perimeters and used a raft for support. Also remember that using quick zags for infill can sometimes loosen prints during printing, which makes cleaning up easy with little left over when done printing.
