Bella Muerte
pinshape
Thousands of years ago, seven immortal heroes from every continent joined forces to free humanity from the grasp of Death. After a decade of searching, they finally found the Grim Reaper. A massive battle ensued, but neither side could deliver the final blow. After a century of fighting, it became clear that nothing could stop Death's relentless march. However, the Grim Reaper was impressed by the seven heroes' unwavering determination and unrelenting power. He offered them a chance to take his place, allowing them to treat their people with justice and provide a safe passage to the afterlife. The heroes accepted, returning to their homelands where they attempted to replace fear of death with a sense of beauty, hope, and bravery. Centuries passed, and despite witnessing only ingratitude and hatred from their people, a dark side began to emerge within the heroes' souls. This inner turmoil created a strange combination of great goodness and great evil, leaving them both feared and loved by all. This story serves as the foundation for a series of seven figurines, with Bella Muerte - the Grim Reaper of South America - being the first to be created. She is the most gentle and beautiful of all the Reapers, yet also the most ruthless when provoked. The model was crafted in Zbrush and thoroughly checked in Netfabb to ensure it is watertight and ready for printing. The figurine consists of two parts: the body and the blade. Assembling these components together is straightforward and should pose no challenges. The model features 2 million polygons (triangles) for the body and 200,000 polygons for the blade. One potential issue to note is the right arm's overhang, which may require extra attention during printing. However, testing on an FDM printer with 20-degree support yielded satisfactory results at both 0.1mm and 0.15mm layer heights (the model stood 16 cm tall). Based on these findings, it was decided not to create the right arm as a separate object. The intricate details on Bella Muerte's armor can fully utilize even the most precise SLA/DLP printers' capabilities.
