The Bell UH-1B Iroquois, famously known as the "Huey," is a single-engine utility/medevac helicopter that first took flight in the mid-1950s and was produced for the US Army from 1960 onwards. Serving throughout the Vietnam War and beyond, these versatile aircraft were used to transport troops and evacuate wounded soldiers under fire. Some were even modified with mounted weapons to act as gunships supporting other transports and medevac Hueys until the introduction of the Bell AH-1 Cobra helicopter gunship. Over 17,000 UH-1Bs were built for military use in the US during the 1960s. The original version of the Huey, it could carry up to ten troops or six wounded soldiers. This highly detailed model includes animatable rotors and openable doors, revealing the intricate cabin and cockpit details.
