The Bell UH-1B Iroquois, also known as the "Huey," is a single-engine utility and medevac helicopter first built in the mid-1950s for the US Army. Produced from 1960, it saw action during the Vietnam War and beyond, transporting troops and medivacing wounded soldiers under fire. Some were armed with machine guns, rockets, and other weapons to support troop transports and medevac helicopters until the introduction of the Bell AH-1 Cobra helicopter gunship. Over 17,000 were built for military use in the US during the 1960s, with the UH-1B being one of the initial versions. Many improved iterations followed, and some are still in production today. The Huey could carry up to ten troops or five to six wounded soldiers, with a fully textured model available for download that includes animateable rotors, openable doors, and detailed cabin and cockpit interiors.
