The Bell UH-1B Iroquois, famously known as the Huey, is a single-engine utility/medivac chopper developed for the US Army in the '50s and mass produced from 1960 onwards. This versatile helicopter served through the Vietnam War and beyond, transporting troops and evacuating wounded soldiers under fire. Some Hueys were weaponized as gunships, equipped with machine guns, rockets, and more for support operations. Over 17,000 units were built during the '60s, with many improved versions emerging over time; some are still in use today. This iconic aircraft could carry up to ten troops or six wounded soldiers.
