The Bell UH-1B Iroquois, also known as the Huey, is a single-engine utility/medivac helicopter that was first built in the mid-1950s and entered production in 1960. Used extensively during the Vietnam War, these helicopters were designed for troop transportation and medevac missions under fire. Some models even came equipped with machine guns, rockets, and other weapons as gunship support. Over 17,000 were produced for military use in the US during the '60s. The UH-1B was one of the first versions of the Huey, with many improved variants following suit, some still in production today. Capable of carrying up to ten troops or six wounded soldiers, this helicopter featured a detailed cabin, military light seats, animateable rotors, and open/close side loading doors and crew doors for enhanced detailing.
