BELL UH-1 Collective Pitch Lever

BELL UH-1 Collective Pitch Lever

thingiverse

I love flying with DCS using different aircraft in VR mode, but controlling a helicopter with a standard aircraft throttle is an awful experience. To address this issue, I designed a collective pitch lever for the BELL UH-1 simulation, focusing on 3D printing and wooden milling parts for the mechanics. For electronic components, I rely on "mmjoy" to transmit signals to my PC/simulation setup, as explained in detail on its GitHub page. Users must also create their own connection between the collective pitch lever mechanism and their gaming chair. I've added the missing .stl model of the distance holder! UPDATE: To improve compatibility, I modified some geometries to fit a 30mm pitch tube with a 2mm wall thickness. Files featuring these changes are marked "_v2" for easy identification. This revised tube size should be more readily available than my initial design. UPDATE_v3: Some geometries were further adapted to accommodate a 1 inch pitch tube with a 0.065 inch wall, corresponding to an outer diameter of 25.4 mm and a wall thickness of 1.651 mm. Files modified in this update are marked "_v3".
