Bell Siphon with Snorkel and Cup for Aquaponics

Bell Siphon with Snorkel and Cup for Aquaponics

thingiverse

This is a custom bell siphon design, created with inspiration from Bigelow Brook Farm's innovative approach as showcased on YouTube. The design centers around a 40mm stand pipe mounting system with an outer diameter of 250mm in height. I have intentionally omitted the lid section to allow for the attachment of a clear piece, enabling me to test its functionality effectively. You can easily modify the OpenSCAD file by inserting your desired dimensions, and the entire design should scale accordingly to suit your specific needs. Although I haven't yet printed this model at full size, the image provided is a PLA version created at half scale to ensure everything fits as expected. The bell siphon itself is designed to be printed upside down for optimal results. Initially, I had planned to wait until I had thoroughly tested the complete design before sharing it with you, but due to growing interest, I decided to upload this work-in-progress now. I would like to extend my gratitude to Preston Hackspace for granting me access to their Ultimaker Original 3D Printer to test and refine this design. How This Design Came Together Developed using OpenSCAD The attached OpenSCAD file is the same one I utilized during the design process.
