Bell siphon (tuned)

Tuned bell siphon based on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2119390 (parametric OpenScad) design targets a growbed about 11-13 cm deep and works perfectly without the bottom cup, as seen in further tuning below. We used 20mm diameter and 9cm height with a thickness of 1mm for reducing printing time, which looks rigid enough. The model is upside down ready to print. Post-print tuning: The design will not work directly because the snorkel is quite long and will not allow the siphon to stop without the cup accessory, depending on pump flow and exit diameter. To fix this, try cutting small bits off the snorkel until you can reach the point where air will flow in to stop the siphon. In our case: - Snorkel cut at 3cm from bottom (so minimum water level = 3cm) - Maximum water level = 7.5cm, leaving about 4cm dry on top - Exit diameter = 8mm - Growbed of about 10l - Tide time about 4:15 min (2:30 up and 1:45 down) - Pump: Low debit (air powered actually using our venturi design https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2818751) You can watch a YouTube video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_YMewBTQvI
