Bell Siphon Demonstration
thingiverse
A Pythagorean cup, also known as this, is a test object demonstrating bell siphons' functionality in aquaponics systems. Ensure it's watertight by printing with 4 shells at .5 single wall thickness (adjust if needed). After printing one tray and bell, finish the parts to guarantee watertightness. The bell sits in the hex shaped cutout of the tray; when filling it with water, it will drain through the bottom hole once the inner pipe's top is reached. This passive mechanism is vital for aquaponic and hydroponic systems, controlling flood and drainage in grow tables.
