Bell Siphon
thingiverse
Bell Siphon experiment (Work in Progress, currently in pause, experimental) As some model are fully enclosed it's best to see them with a Slicer like Ultimaker's Cura, or with OpenScad (toggling showtop variable) Print either with transparent, or shine a light through it. Print 100% infill, and quite hot to make it water tight, (or waterproof it with wax). Designed to have a 2d geometry so it can be simulated faster than in 3d, to find the optimal parameters. I have run simulations with https://github.com/DualSPHysics/DualSPHysics/ simulation needs both water and air so that the siphon works properly. They are too big (multiple GBs to host on thingiverse) See following videos : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yq0zyd64Q04 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S748mcM0MSg
