The OH-58B Covert 3 is a highly detailed Max 13 model, boasting a near-scale design (within 3-4% of actual size) and fully textured materials and textures. Ideal for in-flight or airport ground animations, video, or simulation purposes, it also serves to populate an airport scene. The model features animated rotor and tail-rotor functions, along with a semi-detailed cockpit including control yoke, cyclic, rudder pedals, seating, instrument panel, and armored seat panels. As part of the Bell 206 family, the OH-58 was initially developed as a light observation helicopter for the US Army (YOH-4), but wasn't selected at first; it later became the OH-58 Kiowa after being chosen by the US Army as an observation helicopter. Bell sold these light observation helicopters worldwide to numerous military and law enforcement agencies, which were based on the commercial version of the Bell 206 Jet Ranger. Subsequently, Bell developed a heavily armed version with advanced technology and sensors for surveillance and scouting tasks, with electronics installed in the after passenger compartment.
