My mother-in-law surprised me with a lantern I didn't really need, which required three AA batteries to function. Since I have an abundance of laptop pull 18650s on hand, I decided to breathe new life into the lantern and make it truly useful. However, keep in mind that there is no built-in protection circuit, so be cautious not to overcharge an 18650 cell or you might end up damaging it permanently.
