Bell Drain Strainer/Cover
thingiverse
I designed a custom model to replace the worn-out cast iron bell strainer on my front porch. Since finding an exact replacement online can be a challenge, it's often easier to create one from scratch. The outside diameter of this cover is precisely 4 and 9/16 inches. I opted for black Overture PETG when printing my version, leaving ample space at the top for any desired design elements – in my case, I added my home address to the final model. The print time was approximately nine and a half hours on my Ender 3 printer. I used a moderate infill of 35% along with five perimeter walls, and added an extra layer to both the top and bottom, ensuring it could withstand my weight without any issues.
