1:22 scale Bell 206 B3 r/c helicopter on OMP M2 mechanicsPrint instructionsUpdated 13/05/2021 to rationalise the landing gear parts so that they are easier to print and assemble.  I've reprinted mine in PC Blend so that the landing gear is stronger.Updated 09/12/20 to have better magnet mounts for fuselage, and got rid of moulded-in pins on fuse front piece. This makes printing easier and 3mm dowel or tube can be used instead.Updated 08/12/20 to modify the frame slightly, FC now sits 2mm lower to provide better clearance in the fuselage.Comments welcome!The fuselage front and rear shells and the tail boom are set to 1mm thick in the stls. I printed the front and rear fuse, tail boom, and horizontal stab 'on end', and the vertical stab and ARB lying flat. My best fuselage prints were rotated 9.5 degrees from the vertical so that the flange along the split line is horizontal and at the top of the print (nose down for the front shell and tail down for the rear).All parts can be printed in either PLA or PETG, but PETG is less brittle and works better for the landing skid especially. The landing skid can be printed as one whole piece (landing-skid file) or as individual pieces (all the 'skid-xxx' files are parts) and then glued together. I used transparent Prusament PETG for everything except the frame, where I used Prusament PC Blend.All holes are present in the STLs, but it is a good idea to use a drill bit on them before tapping.Items required:Drill bits: 1.2mm for 1.6mm bolts and 1.6mm for 2mm bolts pre tap, 2mm for untapped, 2.5mm for main motor bolt holes.1.6 and 2mm taps1.6 x 6mm bolts are used for the ARB, servos and vertical stab (12)2 x 8mm and 2 x 10mm for skid/frame attachment (4 of each, longer bolts for rear attachment)6mm dia magnets (4)Tail and main motor bolts from M2 (standard size)684ZZ bearingOMP M2 motors, rotor head, shaft, FC and servosNote that the rear servo has been rotated axially by 90 degrees from the standard M2 location.It is mounted on the right hand side of the frame behind the right aileron servo (and parallel to it).The ARB bolts onto the top of the frame, so it is easier to install and replace.There is also 'clean access' through the frame to the rear main motor bolt from above, so it can be easily removed.
