A model of the Cointet-element, also known as Belgian Gate or C-element, was built with heavy steel to form a substantial fence about three meters wide and two meters high. It typically featured concrete rollers for mounting, used extensively by German forces during World War II - especially on D-Day operations. The main barricade of the KW-line in Belgium consisted of many of these gates constructed between September 1939 and May 1940. Thousands of similar gates were transported to Normandy's coast for use as part of the Atlantikwall beach obstacle system. This Cointet-element model is now game-ready, complete with two LODs tailored for optimal display using either of its two unique materials - one for the steel fence and one for the surrounding seaweed. The design includes clean and seaweed-covered variations for greater versatility. Created originally in Blender 2.79 with a focus on PBR rendering capabilities, this model boasts minimal polygons and can be easily subdivided when needed. Game engine compatibility ensures seamless integration across popular titles like Unity and Unreal Engine. Key specifications include: 3 individual objects, maximum of 1996 polygons, no built-in collision detection system Objects: 3, Polygons: 1996 maximum, Collision Box: No, Animated: No A comprehensive suite of materials are at your fingertips, with two included materials for both game engines and a mix of texture resolutions (4K, 2K, & 1K) that provide crisp, clear detail. The Normal, Albedo, Metallic, Roughness, and Heigh maps are easily accessible via direct link within the texture package itself - encoded in PNG format. Realistic proportions were carefully adhered to in design, and all relevant assets reside outside the included file structures for user accessibility (save a folder labeled "Textures", where users will find each associated .PNG file within. As always: don't forget those extra assets are freely available via an online directory titled hdrihaven)
