Apologies for my oversight; I missed the contest deadline by a few hours. Despite working diligently on the paper towel holder design, I realized my error when my render was almost complete - UTC 10:30PM was 2:30AM contest time. Regretfully, this means I can't participate in this challenge. However, I'm proud to have created my first GrabCad account and shared my design. The model comprises a 'platter,' 'case,' 'guide,' 'base,' 'post,' 'spring steel,' and 'cap.' They are assembled as follows: the platter and case are glued or screwed together, then the guide is attached and placed on the base and secured with screws. The post is screwed into the base. Spring steel is inserted with the cap tightened on top. Simply insert a roll of towels and slide the end through the slot. The spring steel prevents wild spinning and backward rolling. Tear a sheet to the left for use; the rubber-bottomed design keeps it stable. Initially, I planned an animation and sales image, but time constraints prevented this. Please check out the exploded view or alter the roll size in the master model to see different amounts left on the roll. I welcome any comments or criticism on my first upload. Despite my mistake, I hope to participate in future challenges. If you find any issues with the files, kindly let me know in the comments. Happy Grabbing! Mike.
