This project represents a significant outcome of our Research on Photogrammetry and 3D reconstruction conducted by Wissam Wahbeh and Stephan Nebiker at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW, http://www.fhnw.ch/habg/ivgi/. The collaboration with Gabriele Fangi from the Polytechnic University of the Marche in Italy has been instrumental. Our research leverages the capabilities of dense multi-image 3D reconstruction for destroyed cultural heritage monuments by utilizing public domain touristic imagery alone or by integrating it with professional panoramic imagery. We concentrate our efforts on reconstructing lost heritage sites. This model was created using images provided by Prof. Gabriele Fangi, The photographer Daniel Demeter, and public domain imagery. Our work was presented at the ISPRS conference in Prague. For more information about the research paper, visit http://www.isprs-ann-photogramm-remote-sens-spatial-inf-sci.net/III-5/81/2016/.
