Beer Quick Carbonator baseplate
thingiverse
This is a custom-made mounting plate for a DIY setup of a commercially available high-pressure carbonator. To build the carbonator, you will need a low-voltage diaphragm water pump (inexpensive and readily available on Amazon), a brass or stainless steel T-connection, a 2-micron oxygenation stone with a 1/2-inch NPT fitting (also available on Amazon), and 1/2-inch NPT to various hose size barbs (I personally use 3/8-inch food-grade polyethylene tubing). Additionally, you will need ball or pin lock connectors that match your setup. Searching online for quick carb charts and expert tips will provide further information. The holes in the mounting plate should be spacious enough to accommodate 6-32 stainless steel hardware for the pump and a zip tie loop for the T-connection. If the holes are too small, there is still room to drill larger with four sturdy walls that maintain structural integrity. The custom-made mounting plate allows you to neatly mount the gear while keeping it secure on the handle of a Cornelius keg during operation (designed specifically to fit rubber-handled kegs).
