My brother asked me to make a catapult to play Beer pong, so here it is.
It shoots normal table tennis balls, the range is about 2m.

I wanted to avoid using metal springs or rubber bands, so I used a printed spring. I made the spring a separate part, so you can easily replace it, in case it breakes. I'm thinking about making a second version with rubber bands, I'm not sure what's better.

Assembly:

The assembly requires 9 M3 screws and 2 square nuts. For most of the screws, the length doesn't matter too much, M3x10 up to M3x16 all fits. I used the following:

3x M3x16 screw

4x M3x12 screw

2x M3x8 screw

2x M3 square nuts

3x M3 hex nuts

First screw the frame together, the two square beams at the bottom are fixed with 4 M3x12 screws directly in the plastic. Then add the crossbeam at the top, it is secured with two M3x16 screws and square nuts. The ball holder is secured to the arm with 2 M3x8 screws and hex nuts. The arm is secured with an M3x16 screw and hex nut.

Print settings:

I printed the catapult with Prusament PETG Jungle green.
Print at 0.2mm layer height.
10% Infill (I dont think it matters)
The bucket requires support in the middle.
