Beer Glass

In honor of Luigi Colani, a renowned designer from Germany, who passed away on September 16th, 2019. A beer glass designed by Colani for drinking top-fermented German dark beers, popular in Düsseldorf, has been rediscovered and reimagined. The original glass holds 200 milliliters up to the calibration mark. One distinctive feature of the design is the area reserved for a thumb-rest. Recently unearthed from a corner of my living room cabinet, I decided to recreate this glass for sharing with others. My version differs slightly from the original and features the "GrabCAD" logo on the thumb-rest. Interested individuals can create their own versions with the original logo by Hannen Alt, which is not included in this model but can be designed separately. Although the beer foam appears less than optimal in the renderings, I utilized available textures and materials to create a realistic image in KeyShot. This model is available for download as a STEP file or native PTC Creo Parametric 2.0 files (.stp, .prt, .asm) within a compressed 7z folder.
